Emerald City Hats!

Art: Designing and making: Creating hats for the Emerald city…then re-creating the hats once the children had discovered they had certain flaws as seen in our Blog. It was a lesson well learnt as “Learning starts with failure; the first failure is the beginning of education.” John Hersey. From the offset from looking at the children’s plans and listening to their descriptions we were aware of these obvious flaws and had to bite our tongues but felt it was important for them to make the hats and then critique their work!
